Felipe Lopez traded to Brewers

Felipe Lopez was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Milwaukee Brewers on July 28, 2011 in exchange for cash. In his 11 year career Lopez has played second, third, short and outfield for the Rays, Red Sox, Cardinals, Brewers, Diamondbacks, Nationals, Reds, and Blue Jays. Before the trade he was hitting .216 with two home runs, eight RBI, eight runs and one steal in 32 games. For his career he has hit .265 with 90 home runs, 436 RBI, 597 runs and 124 steals in 1170 games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays with the eighth pick of the first round in 1998.
