Michael McKenry traded to Pirates

Catcher Michael McKenry was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 13, 2011. In exchange the Red Sox received cash and a player to be named later. McKenry's previous Major League experience was with the Colorado Rockies where he played six games in 2010. He was traded from the Rockies to the Red Sox on March 29, 2011. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the seventh round in 2006.
