Starlin Castro traded to Yankees

Starlin Castro was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the New York Yankees on December 8. 2015. The Cubs in exchange received Adam Warren and a PTBNL. 

The SS\2B hit .265/.296/.375 with 11 HR, 69 RBI, 52 R, 5 SB in 151 games with the Cubs in 2015. Over six seasons with the Cubs he hit .281/.321/.404 with 64 HR, 372 RBI, 394 R, 75 SB in 897 games. He originally signed with the Cubs in 2006 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Castro turned 26 on March 24.

RHP Warren was 7-7, 3.29 ERA, 104 K, 1.16 WHIP, .236 BAA, 1 SV in 131.1 over 43 games with 17 GS in 2015. Over four MLB seasons with the Yankees he was 13-15, 3.39 ERA, 245 K, 1.24 WHIP, .243 BAA, 5 SV in 289.1 IP over 147 games with 20 GS. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in fourth round in 2009. Warren will be 29 on August 25.
