Jake Peavy traded to Red Sox in 3 team deal

Jake Peavy was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Boston Red Sox on July 30, 2013. The Detroit Tigers traded Brayan Villarreal and Avisail Garcia to the Red Sox. The Red Sox then sent Avisail Garcia, J B Wendelken, Francellis Montas and Cleuluis Rondon to the White Sox. The Red Sox also sent Jose Iglesias to the Tigers.

RHP Peavy has 12 season MLB experience pitching with the White Sox an Padres. This season he was 8-4, 4.28 ERA, 76 K, 1.14 WHIP in 80.0 IP over 13 games with the White Sox.
