Bud Norris traded to Orioles

Bud Norris was traded by the Houston Astros to the Baltimore Orioles on July 31, 2013. In exchange the Astros received L J Hoes, Josh Hader and a 2014 draft pick.

RHP Norris has five seasons MLB experience pitching with the Astros. This season he was 6-9, 3.93 ERA, 90 K, 1.41 WHIP in 126.0 IP over 21 games. For his MLB career he is 34-46, 4.33 ERA, 643 K, 1.40 WHIP in 689.2 IP over 119 games. He was originally drafted by the Astros in the sixth round in 2006. Norris turned 28 on March 2nd.

Hoes was an outfielder with Triple A Norfolk of the Orioles who also had a coupe brief call ups the last two seasons. This season he hit .304/.406/.403 with 3 HR, 40 RBI, 62 R, 7 SB in 99 games at Norfolk and was hitless in one game with the Orioles. He was hitless in his three games with the Orioles. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in third round in 2008. Hoes turned 23 on March 5th.

LHP Hader pitched in 2013 at Class A Delmarva of the Orioles, He was 3-6, 2.65 ERA, 79 K, 1.28 WHIP in 85.0 IP over 17 games. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the 19th round in 2012. Hader turned 19 on April 7th.
