Yorvit Torrealba traded to Brewers
Yorvit Torrealba was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Milwaukee Brewers on September 21, 2012 in exchange for a player to be named later or cash. The catcher is in his 12th MLB season playing with the Blue Jays, Rangers, Padres, Rockies, Mariners and Giants. He had split 2012 between the Rangers and Blue Jays. With Texas he hit .236/.302/.342 with 3 HR, 12 RBI, 16 R, 1 SB in 49 games and he hit .214/.267/.321 with 1 HR, 2 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 10 games with Toronto. For his MLB career he has hit .258/.316/.386 with 56 HR, 323 RBI, 296 R, 19 SB in 841 games. He originally signed with the Giants as an amateur free agent in 1994 out of Venezuela. Torrealba turned 34 on July 19.
