Matthew Skole South Atlantic League MVP 2012

Matthew Skole of the Hagerstown Suns was awarded the South Atlantic League MVP. Hagerstown is the Class A team of the Washington Nationals. In 2012 the third baseman hit .286/.438/.574 with 27 HR, 92 RBI, 73 R, 10 SB in 101 games with Hagerstown. He was promoted to Class A Advanced Potomac where he hit .314/.355/.486 with 0 HR, 12 RBI, 11 R, 1 SB in 18 games. He was originally drafted by the Nationals in the fifth round in 2011. Skole turned 23 on July 30.
