Billy Hamilton California League MVP 2012

Billy Hamilton of the Bakersfield Blaze was awarded the California League MVP. Bakersfield is the Class A Advanced team of the Cincinnati Reds. In 2012 the shortstop hit .323/.413/.439 with 1 HR, 30 RBI, 79 RBI, 104 SB in 82 games. He was promoted to Double A Pensacola where he hit .286/.406/.383 with 1 HR, 15 RBI, 33 R, 51 SB in 50 games. He was originally drafted by the Reds in the second round in 2009. Hamilton will be 22 on September 9th.
