Tyler Cloyd International League Most Valuable Pitcher 2012
Tyler Cloyd of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs was awarded the International League Most Valuable Pitcher. Lehigh Valley is the Triple A team of the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2012 the RHP was 12-1 with a 2.35 ERA, 93 K, 1.01 WHIP in 142.0 IP over 22 games with Lehigh Valley. He had started the season with Double A Reading where he was 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA, 20 K, 1.00 WHIP in 25.0 IP over 4 games and is currently with the Phillies where he is 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA, 14 K, 1.00 WHIP in 13.0 IP over 2 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 18th round in 2008. Cloyd turned 25 on May 16.
