Kevin Pillar Midwest League MVP 2012
Kevin Pillar of the Lansing Lugnuts was awarded the Midwest League MVP. Lansing is the Class A team of the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2012 the outfielder hit .322/.390/.451 with 5 HR, 57 RBI, 49 R, 35 SB in 86 games with Lansing. He was promoted to Class A Advanced Dunedin where he hit .323/.339/.415 with 1 HR, 34 RBI, 16 R, 16 SB in 42 games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the 32nd round in 2011. Pillar turned 23 on January 4th.
