Eldred goes from hot to cold

It was less than two weeks ago that the Tigers gave Brad Eldred his shot by calling him up to ride his hot streak. He started off well going 2 for 5 against the Yankees on April 27. Then he had an oh for four game and followed that with another oh for four performance against one of the best pitchers in the game C C Sabathia. Then a rain out on April 30 against the Royals and Eldred never got his bearings after that. The Tigers tried to take advantage of a hot player but he cooled off just as quickly. He was sent back to the minors on May 4 as the Tigers reinstated the troubled Delmon Young. Now we will sit back and see if Eldred has the fire within to ignite another hot streak whole playing with Toledo.
