Drew Sutton traded to Rays
Drew Sutton was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Tampa Bay Rays on May 22, 2012 for a player to be named later or cash. Sutton had been traded to the Pirates the day before from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash. He has played second base, short stop and outfield and has three seasons MLB experience with the Red Sox, Indians and Reds. In 2012 he was playing with the Braves Triple A team in Gwinnett where he hit .270/.374/.372 with 0 Hr, 15 RBI, 19 R, and 2 SB in 38 games. He was originally drafted by the Astros in the 15th round in 2004. Sutton will be 29 on June30.
