Koyie Hill traded to Cubs

Koyie Hill was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Chicago Cubs on May 19, 2012 in exchange for cash. Hill is a catcher with 8 years MLB experience and had previously played with the Cubs, Diamondbacks and Dodgers. He had signed with the Reds as a free agent in April 2012 and was playing for their Double A team where he hit .195/.250/.341 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 5 R and 0 SB in 14 games. Over his MLB career he has hit .211/.275/.298 with 8 HR, 75 RBI, 75 R and 3 SB in 302 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the fourth round in 2000. Hill turned 33 on March 9th.
