Scott Podsednik traded to Red Sox
Scott Podsednik was traded by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Boston Red Sox on May 12, 2012 in exchange for cash. Podsednik is an outfielder with 10 years of MLB experience having played with the Mariners, Brewers, White Sox, Rockies, Royals and Dodgers. In 2011 he played with the Blue Jays Triple A and then the Phillies Triple A after being released by the Blue Jays in May 2011. Before the trade he was still with the Phillies Triple A hitting .203/.289/.216 with 0 HR, 4 RBI, 13 R and 6 SB in 22 games. For his MLB career he has hit .279/.340/.381 with 41 HR, 300 RBI, 544 R and 301 SB in 1016 games. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the third round in 1994. Podsednik turned 36 on March 18.
