Bryce Harper hit the first home run of his career on May 14, 2012 as the Washington Nationals beat the San Diego Padres 8 to 5. The solo home run came in the 15th game of his career and was off Tim Stauffer of the Padres in the third inning. Harper has been struggling after a strong start as his average has fallen from .316 to .232 over the last 10 games. He was 1-4 this game.
