Eaton and Elmore both hitting .400

Adam Eaton and Jake Elmore have been giving the pitchers in the Pacific Coast League fits as a potent one-two punch at the top of the Reno Aces' order. After their May 27th game both players sit with their averages above the .400 plateau. Add in A J Pollock hitting .368 and the Aces have an impressive triple threat.


Eaton is an outfielder originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 19th round in 2010. He started the season at Double A Mobile where he hit .300/.451/.325 with 0 HR, 3 RBI, 11 R, 6 SB in 11 games. Since rising to Triple A he has hit .401/.471/.526 with 1 HR, 16 RBI, 47 R, 12 SB in 36 games. Eaton turned 23 on December 6.


Elmore is a super utility player who has played second, third, shortstop and outfield this season. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 34th round in 2008. This season he has hit .400/.503/.520 with 1 HR, 29 RBI, 41 R, 15 SB in 42 games with Reno. Elmore will be 25 on June 15.


Pollock is an outfielder who was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks with the 17th pick of the first round in 2009. He has split the season between Triple A Reno and the Diamondbacks. He has hit .368/.415/.471 with 0 HR, 12 RBI, 12 R, 8 SB in 20 games at Triple A and hit .229/.278/.333 with 1 HR, 4 RBI, 5 R, 0 SB in 20 games with the Diamondbacks. Pollock turned 24 on December 5.
