Casey Blake retires
Casey Blake announced his retirement from playing baseball in May 2012. Blake played third base, first base and outfield over 13 MLB seasons. He was originally drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the seventh round in 1996. He played with the Blue Jays in 1999, three seasons with the Twins, a few games with the Orioles, six seasons with the Indians and four seasons with the Dodgers. For his career he hit .264/.336/.442 with 167 HR, 616 RBI, 644 R and 36 SB in 1265 games.
