Athletics call up Michael Taylor

The Oakland Athletics have called up outfielder Michael Taylor as Coco Crisp goes on the DL. This year with the  Triple A Sacramento River Cats he has hit .347/.390/.547 with 2 HR, 18 RBI, 16 R and 6 SB in 23 games. He did enjoy a little time with the Athletics last season as he hit .200/.314/.300 with 1 HR, 1 RBI, 4 R and 0 SB in 11 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the fifth round in 2007. Taylor will be 27 on December 19.
