Others receiving first place votes were Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers with two and 96 points total, Gio Gonzalez of the Nationals with one and 93 total, Johnny Cueto of the Reds with on and 75 total and Craig Kimbrel of the Braves with one and 41 total. Others receiving votes were Matt Cain of the Giants with 22 points, Kyle Lohse of the Cardinals with 6, Aroldis Chapman of the Reds with 1 and Cole Hamels of the Phillies with 1.
In 2012 the RHP was 20-6 with a 2.73 ERA, 230 K, 1.05 WHIP in 233.2 IP over 34 games. For his MLB career he is 61-56 with a 3.98 ERA, 739 K, 1.33 WHIP in 1059.1 IP over 238 games. He was originally drafted by the Rangers with the 18th pick of the first round in 1996. Dickey turned 38 on October 29.
