Jeremy Jeffress traded to Blue Jays
Jeremy Jeffress was traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Toronto Blue Jays on November 8, 2012 in exchange for cash. The RHP has three seasons of MLB experience with the Royals and Brewers. He split 2012 between Double A Northwest Arkansas, Triple A Omaha and Kansas City. He was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA, 3 K, 0.75 WHIP, 1 SV in 1.1 IP in one game at Northwest Arkansas, was 5-4 with a 4.97 ERA, 61 K, 1.33 WHIP, 2 SV in 58.0 IP over 37 games with Omaha and was 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA, 13 K, 2.40 WHIP in 13.1 IP over 13 games with Kansas City. For his MLB career he is 2-1 with a 4.89 ERA, 34 K, 1.78 WHIP, 1 SV in 38.2 IP over 37 games. He was originally drafted by the Brewers with the 16th pick of the first round in 2006. Jeffress turned 25 on September 21.
