Matt Reynolds traded to Diamondbacks

Matt Reynolds was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Arizona Diamondbacks on November 20, 2012. In exchange the Rockies received Ryan Wheeler.

LHP Reynolds has 3 seasons MLB experience all pitching with the Rockies. In 2012 he was 3-1 with a 4.40 ERA, 51 K, 1.43 WHIP in 57.1 IP over 71 games. For his MLB career he is 5-3 with a 3.93 ERA, 118 K, 1.29 WHIP in 126.0 IP over 165 games. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the 20th round in 2007. Reynolds turned 28 on October 2nd. 

Wheeler is a 3B\1B who split 2012 between Triple A Reno and Arizona. He hit .351/.388/.572 with 15 HR, 90 RBI, 56 R, 3 SB in 93 games with Reno and hit .239/.294/.339 with 1 HR, 10 RBI, 11 R, 1 SB in 50 games with Arizona. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the fifth round in 2009. Wheeler turned 24 on July 10.
