Josh Hamilton Slump Over
I'm declaring that the Josh Hamilton slump is over. He has had multiple hits in four of his last 10 games and hit his 29th and 30 home runs in the two games he had three hits in. After his hot start of hitting .395/.438/.744 with 9 HR in April and .344/.405/.781 with 12 HR in May he went Arctic cold as Summer started to heat up. In June he hit .223/.318/.436 with 4 HR and followed that bu hitting .177/.253/.354 with 4 HR in July. But the fact in the last 10 games he matched the multi hit total of the 45 games he played from June 1 to July 29 is a very positive sign. The Rangers will be in a Battle Royale down the stretch against the Angles and surging Athletics and his bat will be needed to keep hopes of a third World Series trip alive.
