J C Romero traded to Orioles

J C Romero was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Baltimore Orioles on August 13, 2012. In exchange the Indians received Carlos Rojas.

LHP Romero is in his 14th MLB season playing for the Cardinals, Rockies, Phillies, Red Sox, Angels and Twins. He had started the season pitching for the Orioles Triple A team in Norfolk, was released, signed with the Indians and pitched for their Triple A team in Columbus and then was traded back to Baltimore. He originally signed with the Cubs as an amateur free agent in 2001 out of Venezuela. Rojas turned 28 on January 11.
