The Hanshin Tigers defeated the Seattle Mariners 5-1 in an Exhibition game on March 25, 2012. Minoru Iwata of Hanshin dominated the Mariners and out performed Hector Noesi through their five inning limit. Iwata allowed six hits, one walk and zero earned runs while striking out five. Noesi allowed six hits, one walk and three earned runs while striking out three. The Tigers scored two more runs in the seventh. The Mariners top hitters were Miguel Olivo who was two for two and Casper Wells who was one for one with a solo home run. The Tigers top hitters were Craig Brazell who was three for four with a run scored and Tomoaki Kanemoto who was one for two with a two run home run.
