Davis Stoneburner traded to Indians

Davis Stoneburner was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Cleveland Indians on March 19, 2012 as he was deemed the player named later from the February 21 trade that sent Kelvin De La Cruz to the Rangers. It is an odd twist since De La Cruz was later traded back to the Indians on March 15.

Stoneburner primarily played second at Double A in 2011 plus three games in the outfield and one at shortstop. He hit .269/.341/.413 with nine home runs, 47 RBI, 64 runs and 18 steals in 116 games. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the ninth round in 2007.
