The Hanshin Tigers defeated the Oakland Athletics 12-6 in an exhibition game on March 26, 2012. Randy Messenger got the win for the Tigers lasting his five inning limit while the Athletics Tyson Ross was ousted after four innings. Messenger allowed four hits, two walks and four earned runs while striking out four. Ross gave up 10 hits, one walk and eight runs with six earned while striking out one.
