Chris Heston traded to Mariners
Chris Heston was traded by the San Francisco Giants to the Seattle Mariners on December 7, 2016 for a PTBNL. The RHP split 2016 between Rookie Arizona, Class A Advanced San Jose, Triple A Sacramento and the Giants. He was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 7 K, 1.35 WHIP, .259 BAA in 6.2 IP over 2 games at Arizona, 0-0, 6.23 ERA, 1 K, 1.85 WHIP, .294 BAA in 4.1 IP in 1 game at San Jose, 2-9, 4.54 ERA, 53 K, 1.40 WHIP, .267 BAA, 1 SV in 81.1 IP over 15 games with 14 GS at Sacramento and 1-1, 10.80 ERA, 3 K, 3.00 WHIP, .409 BAA in 5.0 IP over 4 games with the Giants. Over three MLB seasons with the Giants he was 13-12, 4.16 ERA, 148 K, 1.37 WHIP, .260 BAA in 188.0 IP over 38 games with 32 GS. He was originally drafted by the Giants in the 12th round in 2009. Heston will be 29 on April 10.
