Vinnie Pestano traded to Angels

Vinnie Pestano was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Los Angeles Angels on August 7, 2014, The Indians in exchange received Michael Clevinger. 

RHP Pestano had split 2014 between Triple A Columbus and the Indians. He was 2-4, 1.78 ERA, 37 K, 1.15 WHIP, 6 SV in 30.1 IP over 32 games at Columbus and 0-1, 5.00 ERA, 13 K, 1.56 WHIP in 9.0 IP over 13 games with the Indians. Over five MLB seasons with the Indians he was 5-8, 2.93 ERA, 218 K, 1.23 WHIP, 11 SV in 181.1 IP over 192 games. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the 20th round in 2006. Pestano turned 20 on February 20.

RHP Clevinger had split 2014 between Class A Burlington and Class A Advanced Inland Empire. He was 3-0, 1.88 ERA, 27 K, 0.88 WHIP in 24.0 IP over 5 games at Burlington and 1-3, 5.37 ERA, 58 K, 1.54 WHIP in 55.1 IP over 13 games at Inland Empire. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the fourth round in 2011. Clevinger will be 24 on December 21.
