Blake Tekotte traded to Diamondbacks

Blake Tekotte was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 3, 2014 for cash. The outfielder had hit .251/.324/.438 with 11 HR, 35 RBI, 37 R, 1 SB in 81 games at Triple A Charlotte in 2014. He has three seasons of limited MLB experience with the White Sox and Padres as he hit .188/.258/.275 with 1 HR, 3 RBI, 5 R, 4 SB in 50 games. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the third round in 2008 and was traded to the White Sox in 2012. Tekotte turned 27 on May 24.
