Jesmuel Valentin traded to Phillies

Jesmuel Valentin was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Philadelphia Phillies on August 16, 2014 as part of the earlier Roberto Hernandez deal. The second baseman had played at Class A Great Lakes where he hit .280/.349/.430 with 7 HR, 47 RBI, 73 R, 24 SB in 108 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers with the 51st pick of the first round in 2012. Valentin turned 20 on May 12.
