This is the 16th segment of 2014 as I continue to follow Bubba Starling and Fred Ford as they make their way up the minor league ranks of the Kansas City Royals. Starling starts off 2014 at Class A Advanced Wilmington as the Red Rocks were 33-35 in the first half and are 20-20 in the second half. Ford is repeating time at Class A Lexington as the Legends finished the first half 29-41 and are 16-26 in the second half.
This week Bubba was 5 for 22 with 3 doubles, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 6 games. For the season he is hitting .224/.302/.364 w/ 9 HR, 51 RBI, 58 R, 13 SB in 104 games.
This week Fred was 4 for 18 with 2 HR, 5 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 6 games. For the season he is hitting .207/.294/.365 with 10 HR, 45 RBI, 44 R, 8 SB in 99 games.
