Nick Hundley traded to Orioles

Nick Hundley was traded by the San Diego Padres to the Baltimore Orioles on May 24, 2014. In exchange the Padres received Troy Patton. 

Hundley is a catcher in his seventh season of MLB experience playing with the Padres. This season he hit .271/.271/.373 with 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 33 games with the Padres. For his MLB career he has hit .238/.296/.389 with 47 HR, 195 RBI, 161 R, 7 SB in 510 games. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the second round in 2005. Hundley will be 31 on September 8th.

LHP Patton is in his sixth MLB season pitching with the Orioles and Astros. Prior to the trade he split 2014 between Triple A Norfolk and the Orioles as he was 0-0, 3.86 ERA, 2 K, 1.50 WHIP in 4.2 IP over 4 games at Norolk and was 0-1, 8.10 ERA, 5 K, 1.95 WHIP in 6.2 IP over 9 games with the Orioles. For his MLB career he is 5-4, 3.28 ERA, 127 K, 1.18 WHIP in 161.2 IP over 144 games. He was originally drafted by the Astros in the ninth round in 2004. Patton will be 29 on September 3rd.
