Delino DeShields Jr of the Corpus Christi Hooks returned from a horrific HBP to the face on April 18 and hit two home runs in his first game back in a losing 6-2 effort against the Frisco RoughRiders. Corpus Christi is the Double A team of the Houston Astros. Coincidentally that April 18 game was also against Frisco. After the ball to the face in the seventh inning DeShields ended up in the hospital. He tried to make light of the situation by posting a picture of his swollen, misshapen face.
I'd like to say kudos to Mr DeShields on making it back to play again and getting back in the batter's box with some authority. Looking forward to following you on your many games to follow.
