Kevin Comer traded to Astros to complete 10 player trade

Kevin Comer was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Houston Astros to complete a 10 player trade started on July 20. The Blue Jays received J A Happ, Brandon Lyon and David Carpenter while the Astros had already received Francisco Cordero, Ben Francisco, Joe Musgrave, Asher Wojciechowski, David Rollins and Carlos Perez.

RHP Comer was pitching with the Blue Jays rookie team in Bluefield which plays in the Appalachian League. In 2012 he was 3-3 with a 3.95 ERA, 29 K, 1.18 WHIP in 43.1 IP over 10 games with Bluefield. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays with the 57th pick of the first round in 2011. Comer turned 20 on August 1st.
