Scott Feldman was traded by the Houston Astros to the Toronto Blue Jays on August 1, 2016. The Astros in exchange received Guadalupe Chavez.
RHP Feldman was 5-3, 2.90 ERA, 42 K, 1.24 WHIP, .264 BAA in 62.0 IP over 26 games with 5 GS with the Rangers in 2016. Over 12 MLB seasons with the Astros, Orioles, Cubs and Rangers he was 69-76, 4.35 ERA, 775 K, 1.35 WHIP, .268 BAA in 1260.0 IP over 307 games with 183 GS. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the 30th round in 2003. Feldman turned 33 on February 7th.
RHP Chavez was 4-1, 1.69 ERA, 26 K, 1.03 WHIP, .248 BAA in 32.0 IP over 6 games at Rookie Gulf Coast. He originally signed with the Blue Jays in 2014 as an amateur free agent out of Mexico. Chavez turned 18 on December 3rd.
