Jeff Francoeur traded to Marlins in 3 team deal

Jeff Francoeur was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Miami Marlins on August 24, 2016 along with cash. The Braves in exchange received Matt Foley from the Marlins and Dylan Moore from the Texas Rangers. The Rangers in exchange received two international signing slots from the Marlins and one from the Braves.

Francoeur is an outfielder who hit .249/.290/.381 with 7 HR, 33 RBI, 29 RBI, 2 SB in 99 games with the Braves in 2016. Over 12 MLB seasons with the Braves, Phillies, Padres, Giants, Royals, Rangers and Mets he has hit .261/.303/.417 with 160 HR, 697 RBI, 622 R, 54 SB in 1455 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves with the 23rd pick of the first round in 2002. Francoeur turned 32 on January 8th.

Foley is a C\OF\1B who had split 2016 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Batavia. He hit 7 for 28, .250/.389/.250 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB in 12 games at Gulf Coast and 2 for 7, .286/.375/.286 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 R, 0 sB in 2 games at Batavia. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the 40th round in 2015. Foley turned 22 on April 15.

Moore is a SS\1B\2B who had split 2016 between Class A Hickory and Class A Advanced High Desert. He hit .244/.372/.394 with 9 HR, 45 RBI, 55 R, 37 SB in 101 games at Hickory and .351/.400/.649 with 5 HR, 14 RBI, 18 R, 3 SB in 17 games at High Desert. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the seventh round in 2015. Moore turned 24 on August 2nd.
