Luis Sardinas traded to Padres
Luis Sardinas was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the San Diego Padres on August 15, 2016 for a PTBNL. The second baseman had split 2016 between Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners, He hit .252/.295/276 with 0 HR, 17 RBI, 17 R, 7 SB in 44 games at Tacoma and .181/.203/.264 with 2 HR, 5 RBI, 12 R, 1 SB in 32 games with the Mariners. Over three MLB seasons with the Mariners, Brewers and Rangers he hit .218/.257/.268 with 2 HR, 17 RBI, 32 R, 6 SB in 111 games. He originally signed with the Rangers in 2009 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Sardinas turned 23 on May 16.
