Daniel Nava traded to Royals
Daniel Nava was traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the Kansas City Royals on August 30, 2016 for a PTBNL. The OF\1B had split 2016 between Triple A Inland Empire, Triple A Salt Lake and the Angels. He hit 1 for 11, .091/.231/.091 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 4 games at Inland Empire, .365/.413/.471 with 1 HR, 13 RBI, 5 R, 1 SB in 22 games at Salt Lake and .235/.309/.303 with 1 HR, 13 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB in 45 games with the Angels. Over six MLB seasons with the Angels, Rays and Red Sox he hit .263/.354/.376 with 25 HR, 185 RBI, 202 R, 9 SB in 500 games. He original signed with the Red Sox in 2008 after playing in the Independent Leagues. Nava turned 33 on February 22.
