Mookie Betts hits 3 HR vs Diamondbacks
Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox hit three home runs in a 16-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 14, 2016. For the game he was 4 for 6 with 3 HR, 8 RBI and 4 R while hitting third and playing right field. He had a two-run home run in the first inning, a three-run home run in the second and another three-run home run in the fifth. This season he is hitting .313/.353/.561 with 26 HR, 84 RBI, 91 R, 18 SB in 113 games. Over three MLB seasons with the Red Sox he has hit .300/.350/.505 with 49 HR, 179 RBI, 217 R, 46 SB in 310 games. It was his second three home run game of the season joining Ted Williams as the only Red Sox players to accomplish the feat in a single season. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the fifth round in 2011. Betts will be 24 on October 7th.
