Arquimedes Caminero traded to Mariners

Arquimedes Caminero was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Seattle Mariners on August 6, 2016 for a PTBNL and future considerations. The RHP had split 2016 between Triple A Indianapolis and the Pirates. He was 0-0, 9.00 ERA, 6 K, 1.75 WHIP, .250 BAA in 4.0 IP over 3 games at Indianapolis and 1-2, 3.51 ERA, 32 K, 1.66 WHIP, .289 BAA, 1 SV in 41.0 IP over 39 games with the Pirates. Over four MLB seasons with the Mariners, Pirates and Marlins he is 7-4, 3.75 ERA, 127 K, 1.33 WHIP, .241 BAA, 1 SV in 139.1 IP over 134 games. He originally signed with the Marlins in 2005 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic and was traded to the Pirates in 2015. Caminero turned 29 on June 16.
