Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox was selected the American League Player of the Month for July 2016. Over three MLB seasons with the Red Sox he has hit .296/.347/.496 with 45 HR, 165 RBI, 210 R, 45 SB in 301 games. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the fifth round in 2011. Betts will be 24 on October 7th.
