Daniel Murphy of the Washington Nationals was selected the National League Player of the Month for July 2016. Over his eight MLB seasons with the Nationals and Mets he has hit .295/.338/.445 with 83 HR, 482 RBI, 488 R, 60 SB in 1005 games. He was originally drafted by the Mets in the 13th round in 2006. Murphy turned 31 on April 1st.
