Colin Rea was traded by the Miami Marlins to the San Diego Padres on August 1, 2016. The Marlins in exchange received Luis Castillo.
RHP Rea had been traded to the Marlins last week. He was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 4 K, 0.30 WHIP, .100 BAA in 3.1 IP in 1 game before going on the DL. RHP Castillo had also been part of the original trade.
