Wilfredo Boscan traded to Padres

Wilfredo Boscan was traded by the Texas Rangers to the San Diego Padres on December 6, 2012 to complete the earlier Cory Burns deal. The RHP pitched in 2012 for the Rangers Double A team Frisco. He was 7-5 with a 3.75 ERA, 89 K, 1.22 WHIP in 98.1 IP over 34 games at Frisco. He originally signed with the Rangers in 2006 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Boscan turned 23 on October 26.
