Burke Badenhop was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Milwaukee Brewers on December 1, 2012. In exchange the Rays received Raul Mondesi Jr.
RHP Badenhop has five seasons MLB experience with the Rays and Marlins. In 2012 he was 3-2 with a 3.03 ERA, 42 K, 1.20 WHIP in 62.1 IP over 66 games with Tampa. For his MLB career he is 16-17 with a 4.08 ERA, 232 K, 1.33 WHIP, 2 SV in 313.0 IP over 217 games. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the 19th round in 2005. Badenhop will be 30 on February 8th.
Mondesi is an outfielder who played 2012 with the Brewers rookie team in Helena. He hit .231/.282/.374 with 5 HR, 32 RBI, 43 R, 8 SB in 68 games. He originally signed with the Brewers as an amateur free agent in 2010. Mondesi turned 20 on August 23.
