Ben Revere traded to Phillies

Ben Revere was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Philadelphia Phillies on December 6, 2012. In exchange the Twins received Vance Worley and Trevor May.

Revere is an outfielder with three seasons MLB experience all playing with the Twins. In 2012 he split the season between Triple A Rochester and Minnesota. He hit .330/.360/.340 with 0 HR, 6 RBI, 9 R, 6 SB in 23 games at Rochester and hit .294/.333/.342 with 0 HR, 32 RBI, 70 R, 40 SB in 124 games at Minnesota. For his MLB career he has hit .278/.319/.323 with 0 HR, 64 RBI, 127 R, 74 SB in 254 games. He was originally drafted by the twins with the 28th pick of the first round in 2007. Revere turned 24 on May 3rd.

RHP Worley has three seasons MLB experience pitching all with the Phillies. In 2012 he was 6-9 with a 4.20 ERA, 107 K, 1.51 WHIP in 133.0 IP over 23 games. For his MLB career he is 18-13 with a 3.50 ERA, 238 K, 1.35 WHIP in 277.2 IP over 53 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the third round in 2008. Worley turned 25 on September 25.

RHP May pitched in 2012 with the Phillies Double A team Reading. He was 10-13 with a 4.87 ERA, 151 K, 1.45 WHIP in 149.2 IP over 28 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the fourth round in 2008. May turned 23 on September 23.
