Kyle Lobstein traded to Tigers

Kyle Lobstein was traded by the New York Mets to the Detroit Tigers on December 6, 2012 in exchange for cash. Lobstein had been selected by the Mets from the Tampa Bay Rays in the Rule 5 draft earlier in the day. He pitched 2012 with Double A Montgomery and was 8-7 with a 4.06 ERA, 129 K, 1.45 WHIP in 144.0 IP over 27 games. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the second round in 2008. Lobstein turned 23 on August 12.
