2013 NL All Star Starters

Here are the National League starters for the 2013 All Star as voted by the fans:

Yadier Molina of the St Louis Cardinals was selected at catcher. Prior to the All Star break he hit .341/.386/.489 with 7 HR, 49 RBI, 40 R, 3 SB in 87 games. For his 10 season MLB career he is hitting .284/.340/.401 with 84 HR, 515 RBI, 383 R, 40 SB in 1169 games. This is his fifth All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the fourth round in 2000.

Joey Votto of the Cincinnati Reds was selected at first base. Prior to the All Star break he hit .318/.434/.506 with 15 HR, 42 RBI, 66 R, 3 SB in 95 games. For his seven season MLB career he is hitting .317/.418/.547 with 148 HR, 499 RBI, 494 R, 44 SB in 823 games. This is his fourth All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Reds in the second round in 2002.

Brandon Phillips of the Cincinnati Reds was selected at second base. Prior to the All Star break he hit .266/.320/.413 with 12 HR, 74 RBI, 46 R, 1 SB in 87 games. For his 12 season MLB career he is hitting .272/.321/.432 with 160 HR, 675 RBI, 699 R, 155 SB in 1275 games. This is his third All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Expos in the second round in 1999.

David Wright of the New York Mets was selected at third base. Prior to the All Star break he hit .304/.396/.507 with 13 HR, 44 RBI, 50 R, 15 SB in 90 games. For his 10 season MLB career he is hitting .301/.382/.506 with 217 HR, 862 RBI, 840 R, 181 SB in 1352 games. This is his seventh All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Mets with the 38th pick of the first round in 2001.

Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies was selected at shortstop. Prior to the All Star break he hit .332/.400/.608 with 16 HR, 52 RBI, 41 R, 0 SB in 64 games. For his eight season MLB career he is hitting .295/.367/.512 with 146 HR, 522 RBI, 512 R, 53 SB in 808 games. This is his third All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Rockies with the seventh pick of the first round in 2005.

Carlos Beltran of the St Louis Cardinals was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .309/.346/.533 with 19 HR, 53 RBI, 51 R, 2 SB in 84 games. For his 16 season MLB career he is hitting .283/.359/.498 with 353 HR, 1296 RBI, 1318 R, 308 SB in 2003 games. This is his eighth All Star selection. He was originally drafted by Royals in the second round in 1995.

Carlos Gonzalez of the Colorado Rockies was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .302/.370/.610 with 25 HR, 64 RBI, 68 R, 16 SB in 91 games. For his six season MLB career he is hitting .300/.357/.531 with 124 HR, 413 RBI, 444 R, 102 SB in 672 games. This is his second All Star selection. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks as an amateur free agent in 2002 out of Venezuela.  

Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .264/.371/.522 with 13 HR, 29 RBI, 38 R, 6 SB in 58 games. For his two season MLB career he is hitting .268/.349/.489 with 35 HR, 88 RBI, 136 R, 24 SB in 197 games. This is his second All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Nationals with the first over all selection of the first round in 2010.
