Carlos Marmol traded to Dodgers

Carlos Marmol was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Los Angeles Dodgers along with an international signing bonus slot on July 2, 2013. In exchange the Cubs received Matt Guerrier. 

RHP Marmol has eight seasons MLB experience all with the Cubs. This season he is 2-4, 5.86 ERA, 32 K, 1.70 WHIP, 2 SV in 27.2 IP over 31 games. For his MLB career he is 23-32, 3.50 ERA, 703 K, 1.33 WHIP, 117 SV in 542.1 IP over 483 games. He originally signed with the Cubs as an amateur free agent in 1999 out of the Dominican Republic. Marmol will be 31 on October 14.

RHP Guerrier has ten seasons MLB experience pitching with the Dodgers and Twins. This season he is 2-3, 4.80 ERA, 21 K, 1.47 WHIP in 30.0 IP over 34 games. For his MLB career he is 25-33, 3.54 ERA, 390 K, 1.25 WHIP, 6 SV in 582.1 IP over 513 games.
