2013 NL All Star Pitchers

Here are the National League pitchers for the 2013 All Star game:

LHP Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 10-5, 3.02 ERA, 122 K, 0.95 WHIP in 125.0 IP over 19 games. For his five season MLB career he is 46-35, 3.17 ERA, 600 K, 1.15 WHIP in 659.0 IP over 106 games. He was originally drafted by the Giants with the 10th pick of the first round in 2007.

LHP Aroldis Chapman of the Cincinnati Reds is in his second All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 3-3, 2.79 ERA, 64 K, 1.11 WHIP, 21 SV in 38.2 IP over 42 games. For his four season MLB career he is 14-11, 2.44 ERA, 276 K, 1.04 WHIP, 60 SV in 173.2 IP over 179 games. He originally signed with the Reds in 2010 out of Cuba.

LHP Patrick Corbin of the Arizona Diamondbacks is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 11-1, 2.35 ERA, 109 K, 1.00 WHIP in 130.1 IP over 19 games. For his two season MLB career he is 17-9, 3.34 ERA, 195 K, 1.15 WHIP, 1 SV in 237.1 IP over 41 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the second round in 2009.

RHP Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 5-5, 2.75 ERA, 103 K, 1.08 WHIP in 104.2 IP over 18 games. This is his first MLB season. He was originally drafted by the Marlins with the 14th pick of the first round in 2011.

RHP Jason Grilli of the Pittsburgh Pirates is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 0-1, 1.99 ERA, 63 K, 0.86 WHIP, 29 SV in 40.2 IP over 43 games. For his 11 season MLB career he is 21-26, 4.14 ERA, 452 K, 1.37 WHIP, 34 SV in 488.2 IP over 373 games. He was originally drafted by the Giants with the fourth pick of the first round in 1997.

RHP Matt Harvey of the New York Mets is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 7-2, 2.35 ERA, 147 K, 0.92 WHIP in 130.0 IP over 19 games. For his two season MLB career he is  10-7, 2.47 ERA, 217 K, 0.99 WHIP in 189.1 IP over 29 games. He was originally drafted by the Mets with the seventh pick of the first round in 2010.

LHP Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers is in his third All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 8-6, 1.98 ERA, 139 K, 0.91 WHIP in 145.1 IP over 20 games. For his six season MLB career he is 69-43, 2.69 ERA, 1113 K, 1.11 WHIP in 1089.1 IP over 171 games. He was originally drafted by the Giants with the seventh pick of the first round in 2006.

RHP Craig Kimbrel of the Atlanta Braves is in his third All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 2-2, 153 ERA, 54 K, 0.99 WHIP, 26 SV in 35.1 IP over 36 games. For his four season MLB career he is 13-6, 1.47 ERA, 337 K, 0.92 WHIP, 115 SV in 195.2 IP over 199 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the third round in 2008.

LHP Cliff Lee of the Philadelphia Phillies is in his fourth All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 10-3, .86 ERA, 125 K, 0.99 WHIP in 138.2 IP over 19 games. For his 12 season MLB career he is 135-81, 3.54 ERA, 1655 K, 1.20 WHIP in 1991.1 IP over 303 games. He was originally drafted by the Expos in the fourth round in 2000.

LHP Jeff Locke of the Pittsburgh Pirates is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 8-2, 2.15 ERA, 73 K, 1.13 WHIP in 109.0 IP over 18 games. For his three season MLB career he is 9-8, 3.32 ERA, 112 K, 1.26 WHIP in 160.0 IP over 30 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2006.

RHP Mark Melancon of the Pittsburgh Pirates is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 2-1, 0.81 ERA, 46 K, 0.79 WHIP, 2 SV in 44.1 IP over 45 games. For his five season MLB career he is 12-8, 3.35 ERA, 185 K, 1.16 WHIP, 23 SV in 201.1 IP over 192 games. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the ninth round in 2006.

RHP Edward Mujica of the St Louis Cardinals is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 2-1, 2.20 ERA, 34 K, 0.73 WHIP, 26 SV in 41.0 IP over 41 games. For his eight season MLB career he is 19-19, 3.75 ERA, 338 K, 1.11 WHIP, 30 SV in 415.2 IP over 357 games. He originally signed with the Indians as an amateur free agent in 2001 out of the Venezuela.

RHP Sergio Romo of the San Francisco Giants is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 3-4, 2.86 ERA, 38 K, 1.04 WHIP, 21 SV in 34.2 IP over 38 games. For his six season MLB career he is 23-13, 2.28 ERA, 315 K, 0.90 WHIP, 38 SV in 268.0 IP over 314 games. He was originally drafted by the Giants in the 28th round in 2005.

RHP Adam Wainwright of the St Louis Cardinals is in his second All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 12-5, 2.45 ERA, 130 K, 1.01 WHIP in 146.2 IP over 20 games. For his eight season MLB career he is 92-53, 3.07 ERA, 1038 K, 1.19 WHIP, 3 SV in 1219.2 IP over 234 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves with the 29th pick of the first round in 2000.

 LHP Travis Wood of the Chicago Cubs is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 6-6, 2.79 ERA, 86 K, 1.03 WHIP in 122.2 IP over 19 games. For his four season MLB career he is 23-29, 3.86 ERA, 367 K, 1.20 WHIP in 487.1 IP over 84 games. He was originally drafted by the Reds in the second round in 2005.

RHP Jordan Zimmermann of the Washington Nationals is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 12-4, 2.58 ERA, 95 K, 0.97 WHIP in 132.1 IP over 9 games. For his five season MLB career he is 36-30, 3.28 ERA, 491 K, 1.16 WHIP in 611.2 IP over 100 games. He was originally drafted by the Nationals in the second round in 2007.
